Cops: Queens Man Nabbed for Bilking Syosset Check-Cashing Business

A Queens man has been arrested for defrauding a Syosset check-cashing business.

On Wednesday the Nassau County Crimes Against Property Squad announced that 52-year-old Richard Guadagno, of 162-24 86th St. in Howard Beach, had been taken into custody for passing bad checks beginning last December.

Between December and January Guadagno allegedly passed $64,000 at Syosset's Pay-O-Matic, located at 160 Oak Dr.

In addition to the check-cashing scheme, Guadagno is accused of receiving $15,000 for fraudulent legal fees between May and September of this year.   

He is charged with second-degree grand larceny, third-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud, and will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
