Cops: Rash of Car Damage Near Syosset

Patch reports on crimes in the second precinct.

Cars around the Second Precinct were targeted in a rash of criminal mischief, cops said.

According to Nassau County Police, eight vehicles, both personal and commercial, were reportedly damaged across the precinct.

On Jan. 2, five cars were reported damaged on Newtown Road, including three work vans.

  • Jan. 3: Criminal mischief; White Oaks Nursing Home, Woodbury; car damaged.
  • Jan. 4: Grand larceny; Cute Baby Day Care, Hicksville; car stolen.
  • Jan. 5: Grand larceny; Plainview Road, Hicksville; car stolen.
  • Jan. 6: Criminal mischief; Buthehorn Street, Bethpage; car damaged.
  • Jan. 7: Criminal mischief; Sagamore Way North, Jericho; car damaged.
  • Jan. 8: Criminal mischief; Oyster Bay High School, Oyster Bay; car damaged.
  • Jan. 8: Criminal mischief; Skylark Lane, Levittown; car keyed.
