Cops: Road Rage, Car Damage Reported

Car break-ins and vandalism continue in Syosset, Second Precinct.

Cars continue to be targeted for break-ins in the Syosset area, according to Nassau County Police.

Second precinct officials reported 13 car-related crimes in the area in one week. Incidents ranged from broken windows and damaged interiors to a report of road rage where an object was hurled at a vehicle.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

  • Dec. 17: Criminal mischief; Alling Street, Hicksville; punctured tires on car.
  • Dec. 18: Grand larceny; Mid Island Rehab, Jericho; window broken on car.
  • Dec. 18: Criminal mischief; Cedar Swamp Road, Jericho; road rage, object thrown at vehicle.
  • Dec. 19: Criminal mischief; Cornell Drive, Plainview; window broken on car.
  • Dec. 19: Grand larceny; IFO Business, Hicksville; car stolen.
  • Dec. 21: Criminal mischief; Concord Avenue, Bethpage; windshield smashed, mirror damaged on car.
  • Dec. 21: Grand larceny; Main Street and Conklin Avenue, Farmingdale; car stolen.
  • Dec. 21: Petit larceny; Syosset Bowl, Syosset; speakers and iPod stolen from car.
  • Dec. 21: Petit larceny; Citgo Gas Station, Plainview; cash stolen from car.
  • Dec. 22: Criminal mischief; Ranch Lane, Levittown; windshield smashed, console and glove box damaged in car.
  • Dec. 22: Petit larceny; Coronet Lane, Plainview; license plates stolen from car.
  • Dec. 22: Petit larceny; Econo Lodge, Hicksville; license plate stolen from car.
  • Dec. 23: Grand larceny; Jackie Reilly's, Levittown; Christmas presents stolen from car.
