An apparent case of road rage on the Long Island Expressway Sunday landed a Central Islip man in jail, Suffolk County Police said.

Jason Parker, 25, reportedly tailed a driver eastbound on the LIE, sped up and cut off the victim’s vehicle before slamming on his brakes on the service road by exit 62, police said.  

Parker then reportedly jumped out of his car with a bat and broke the windshield and both driver side windows on the victim's car. Police say he also punched the victim several times in the face before hopping back into his BMW and taking off.

Parker faces charges of third degree criminal mischief, assault and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Man Clubs Eisenhower Golfer

A Long Beach man was arrested after he allegedly struck a man with a golf club at the Eisenhower Park Golf Course, Nassau County Police said.

Grant Smith, 48, was playing golf by himself on the white course Tuesday when he approached two men in their 60s on the third hole and made rude comments to them, police said. The harassment escalated. He yelled racial slurs and eventually struck one of the victims on his leg with a golf club, police said, breaking off the head of the club.

Smith was charged with second degree assault and two counts of second degree menacing.

Police: Serial Burglar Arrested

A Bronx man who police allege burglarized four Mineola apartments was arrested Wednesday, Nassau County Police said.

Morris Santaniello, 60, was apprehended in Queens after a joint investigation with the Long Beach Police Department. He is being linked to four burglaries between January-February, including one where he is accused of pushing past a 69-year-old female victim and taking undisclosed amount of jewelry.

Santaniello is charged with four counts of second degree burglary.

Charges Upgraded in Officer's Death

Charges against a Suffolk man responsible for driving drunk and starting a chain reaction crash on the Long Island Expressway that killed Nassau County police officer Joseph Olivieri have been upgraded, Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said.

James Ryan, 26, of Oakdale, was arraigned by a grand jury Wednesday on new charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter in the second degree, aggravated vehicular assault, assault in the second degree, aggravated vehicular assault in the first and second degrees, aggravated criminally negligent homicide, criminally negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated.

The charges stem from an Oct. 18, 2012 crash on the LIE.    

Teacher Accused of Watching Porn, Fondling Himself

A North Shore Middle School teacher was arrested Friday after four students claim they saw him watching gay pornography on his office computer and fondling himself, Nassau County Police said.

Aaron Kozlowski, 31, of Long Beach, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child related to an incident that allegedly took place at the middle school in February. 

Kozlowski, a former lacrosse coach, denied the allegations through his attorney.

“This did not happen,” attorney Rick Ostrove, who is representing Kozlowski, told Patch. “These are four kids who made up a story and are sticking to it."
