Crime Nearby: Three Arrested in Early Morning Fight

A man brandishing a steak knife and two other people were arrested following an early morning fight on Frankel Road in Massapequa, police said.

The Saturday morning incident began at 1:40 a.m. when Kaleb Fink, 18 began arguing over the phone with another person about a friend.

At 3 a.m., the other person showed up at Finks' home and demanded he come outside, according to police.

Finks went outside allegedly armed with a steak knife.

They started fighting and Ian Walsh, 19, got out of a car and joined in, punching Fink in the face and body, police said. Finks began waving the steak knife and struck both the other person and Walsh in the arm and stomach, according to cops.

Their injuries were not life threatening. Walsh and the other then fled the scene and Finks called police when he woke up several hours later.

All three were arrested at their homes without incident.

All were were charged with assault. Fink was charged with weapons possession while Walsh was found to have an open warrant out for Facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle police said.
