Crime Report: 20 Burglaries in 1 Week

Rash of burglaries strikes Syosset area.

A rash of burglaries struck the Syosset area within a matter of days last week.

Nassau County Police reported 20 burglaries in under one week in the Second Precinct, with four incidences taking place in Syosset.

In addition to the slew of burglaries, the Woodbury Capital One Bank was robbed Tuesday at gunpoint. Two men weilding a semiautomatic handgun entered the bank and took an unknown amount of cash before escaping. Read the full report and descriptions of the subjects at large here.

  • Nov. 28: Burglary; Barby Lane, Plainview; jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 28: Burglary; Hope Drive, Plainview; cash stolen.
  • Nov. 28: Burglary; Haypath Road, Bethpage; cash, jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 28: Burglary; Floral Avenue, Plainview; unknown loss.
  • Nov. 29: Burglary; Hampshire Drive, Farmingdale; jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 29: Burglary; Roxbury Street, Farmingdale; jewelry, Christmas gifts stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Jacob Road, Plainview; cash, jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Cedar Avenue, Bethpage; TV, laptop, earrings, coin collection stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Morton Boulevard, Plainview; five watches stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Rim Lane, Hicksville; cash, XBox 360 stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Audley Circle, Plainview; wedding band stolen.
  • Nov. 30: Burglary; Audley Circle, Plainview; jewelry stolen.
