Crime Report: Generators Stolen from Disabilities Center

Patch reports on crime in the Syosset and Woodbury area.

Three generators were stolen from a Bethpage center for children and adults with disabilities the night before Hurricane Sandy hit.

Nassau County Police reported that at about 8 p.m. Oct. 28, thieves took three generators from Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. in Bethpage.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

  • Oct. 28: Grand larceny; Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc., Bethpage; three generators stolen.
  • Oct. 31: Burglary; Awning Company, Bethpage; miscellaneous tools stolen.
  • Nov. 1: Burglary; Scooter Lane, Hicksville; TV, Wii, video game stolen.
  • Nov. 2: Grand larceny; Tilles Investments, Woodbury; iPhones, scanner, gift certificates stolen.
  • Nov. 3: Grand larceny; Bentley Road, Plainview; assorted jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 3: Grand larceny; AT&T Wireless, Woodbury; two iPhones stolen.
  • Nov. 4: Burglary; Grand Avenue, Hicksville; microwave, suitcase stolen.
  • Nov. 4: Grand larceny; Stillwell Woods Preserve; two generators stolen.
  • Nov. 6: Burglary; Fordham Avenue, Hicksville; nothing taken.
  • Nov. 6: Grand larceny; Sunrise Assisted Living, Plainview; pistol stolen from room.
  • Nov. 6: Grand larceny; Legend Nissan, Syosset; car stolen.
  • Nov. 6: Robbery; US Post Office, Levittown; perp pushed victim and stole keys to car.
  • Nov. 7: Burglary; Elm Street, Hicksville; flatscreen TV, assorted jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 8: Burglary; Irving Drive, Woodbury; watches, jewelry stolen.
  • Nov. 10: Robbery; Village Green, Levittown; cash stolen.
