Crime Report: Shotgun Stolen in Burglary

11 burglaries reported by police, including the theft of a shotgun in Syosset.

Nearly a dozen burglaries were reported within one week in the Farmingdale area and included thefts of electronics, holiday gifts, and a shotgun.

Nassau County Police reported 11 burglaries in the Farmingdale area last week. Levittown, Plainview, Hicksville, Woodbury, and Syosset all reported breakins on both commercial and private properties.

While a few homeowners escaped with just a pried open door, others reported the theft of Christmas gifts, iPads, Apple Mac computers, and Galaxy tablets.

A shotgun was also reported stolen from a Syosset home.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

  • Dec. 12: Burglary; Pat's Barbershop, Levittown; rear door pried, no loss.
  • Dec 12: Burglary; Wantagh Avenue, Levittown; jewelry stolen.
  • Dec. 13: Burglary; Asian Cafe, Levittown; rear door pried, cash register stolen.
  • Dec. 13: Burglary; Candor Drive, Woodbury; cash, papers stolen.
  • Dec. 14: Burglary; Hama Sushi, Plainview; cash stolen.
  • Dec. 14: Burglary; Renee Road, Syosset; watch, shot gun stolen.
  • Dec. 15: Burglary; Prose Street, Hicksville; steel door kicked in, nothing taken.
  • Dec. 18: Burglary; Pal Street, Plainview; Apple Mac, Galaxy Tablet stolen.
  • Dec. 18: Burglary; Circle Drive, Syosset; Christmas presents, laptop, wedding band stolen.
  • Dec. 18: Burglary; Pickwick Drive West, Syosset; Christmas presents, iPad, jewelry stolen.
  • Dec. 18: Arpad Street, Hicksville; watch stolen.
