Plainview: A Hicksville man was charged with a knife attack on a commuter that occurred near the Long Island Rail Road station in Hicksville early July 4.

Nassau County detectives arrested Jonny Turcios, 23, of  Hicksville, in connection with the attack which took place around 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

Turcios is charged with second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.

Massapequa: Several stores were the scene of arrests on charges of petty larceny:

June 28, an Amityville woman was arrested at JC Penny, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

June 28, a Freeport man was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

June 29, a North Babylon man and a Lindenhurst man were arrested at Pathmark, 941 Carmans Road, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

June 29, a Seaford woman was arrested at Macy’s at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

June 30, a Ronkonkoma woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

July 1, a New Cassel woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

July 1, an Amityville woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

July 2, a Massapequa man was arrested at Wal-Mart, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

Lindenhurst: From Suffolk County police reports:

July 3: Assault, second degree, Gladys Street, North Lindenhurst, (police report: “male hit in head, unconscious, states neighbor hit him”).

July 3: Criminal mischief (to vehicle), fourth, 45th Street, North Lindenhurst, (police report: “keyed, possibly by ex-girlfriend”).

West Babylon: A Deer Park man was found shot to death in West Babylon Tuesday night. Police said Teshon Garrett, 23, was discovered dead in a road.

Police are looking for a male suspect they believe fled on foot and is described as about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 inches tall and was reportedly wearing jeans and a light color hooded sweatshirt.

Levittown: A Levittown woman was arrested on burglary charges Wednesday after she allegedly stole money from her landlord. According to detectives, Ashley Bagnati, 23, a tenant in the 51-year-old victim’s East Meadow apartment, was seen on a surveillance camera entering the victim’s bedroom and removing $80 from a drawer. Bagnati is being charged with second-degree burglary.
