Massapequa: Three men stormed into the 7-Eleven early Friday and robbed an employee and customer at gunpoint, police said.

The gang entered the store located at 711 Broadway at 4:05 a.m. and demanded money from the 51-year-old clerk. He gave them an unknown amount of cash and two of the men jumped behind the counter and took 40 carton of cigarettes.

The third robber ordered a 38-year-old customer to lie on the ground and took his wallet. The gunmen then fled out to the parking lot.

- While most people were taking shelter from hurricane Irene, a looter broke into the store on Sunrise Highway, police said.

Anthony Sims, 20, allegedly broke into the front window of the store at about 2:15 a.m.

But he tripped an alarm and cops showed up a short time later.

They found Sims in the back of the store with a his hands full of Wii and Xbox games. 

Sims was charged with burglary.

Huntington: A Huntington Station woman was arrested and charged over an altercation on New York Avenue in Huntington Aug. 20.

Maritza Rios, 24, was charged with two counts of second degree assault after a fight which sent two women to the hospital. According to Suffolk County police, an argument escalated into an fight in front of Little Vincent’s Pizza on New York Avenue at 3:25 a.m. One woman suffered a broken nose during the incident, another suffered facial cuts.

Plainview The Eighth Squad reported the details of a robbery that occurred on Aug. 19.

According to the detectives, a man armed with a gun entered the Island Care Pharmacy at 1163 Old Country Road. Two employees fled when he jumped behind the counter. Once behind the counter he took 10 to 15 bottles of Oxycodone and fled.

The man is described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white sneakers, a light colored baseball style cap, sunglasses and a bandana covering the lower part of his face.

Suffolk County police recaptured a woman Aug.24 who had escaped custody the night before.

Samantha Deutsch was in custody at the Second Precinct station house in Huntington for disorderly conduct, vehicle and traffic warrants and for criminal impersonation about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night when she broke free from her handcuffs and fled out a side door.

Second Squad detectives found and arrested Deutsch of 5 Wallace Court, at the home of Thomas Carriero, of 69 East 8th St., Huntington Station, at approximately 6:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Deutsch was charged with second-degree escape. Carriero, 65, was arrested and charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Reginald Williams, 33, of 95 Jasmine Lane, East Northport, was arrested and charged with third-degree hindering prosecution.

Deutsch was being held overnight at the Fourth Precinct stationhouse; Carriero and Williams are being held at the Second Precinct. They are scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip Thursday.

Smithtown: Joseph Green, 31, of Amityville was arrested Aug. 15 in Smithtown and charged with petty larceny. Reports state Green was arrested at the Centereach Mall for the alleged theft of video games. Reports indicate Green was arrested Aug. 13 at the Smithaven Mall for the alleged theft of items from JC Penny.    

Christopher Danielo, 21, of Lake Grove was arrested Aug. 10 in Smithtown and charged with third degree criminal mischief. Reports indicate Danielo was arrested for allegedly hitting a Chevy with a baseball bat at approximately 3:30 a.m.

  
Andrew Markos, 49, of Dix Hills was arrested Aug. 10 in Smithtown and charged with third degree larceny. Reports indicate Markos was arrested for allegedly holding an excavator in excess of an agreed thirty days.

Water Mill: Marc Castro, 27, of Dix Hills was arrested on Aug. 21 at 4:09 a.m. at the corner of Deerfield Road and Montauk Highway in Water Mill and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Castro for not using his blinker when they discovered that he had a container of Vicodin pills. Castro said he bought them for recreational use from a friend.

Commack: A 7-Eleven convenience store in Commack was robbed by an armed man, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, a man entered the located at 6230 Jericho Turnpike at 4:51 a.m. on Aug.12.

Once inside the store, he displayed a revolver handgun and demanded cash from the cashier, police said. The cashier complied, handed the assailant an unspecified amount of cash, and the thief fled.

No injuries were reported. No arrest has been made in connection to the incident.

This marks the third robbery in the area this year. The just a few doors down from the 7-Eleven was robbed on and . Two different men were charged with those robberies.
