Firefighters Extinguish Route 106 Barn Blaze

Flames visible from Route 106, reported witnesses.

East Norwich firefighters extinguished a fire that destroyed a barn in Muttontown Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the property at about 8:30 a.m. on Route 106 just south of Northern Boulevard in Muttontown. Witnesses reported that they could see flames from the Route 106.

A cause of the fire has not yet been reported.

Responders said no one was injured in the blaze.
