Fallen Long Island Officers Honored at Oheka Castle Gala [VIDEO]

Fundraiser for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund held Tuesday.

Three Long Island Law Enforcement Officers were recently remembered at the inaugural Honor at the Castle Gala held Tuesday at in Huntington.

The event was also a fundraiser for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which is building a National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C.

The event paid special tribute to fallen Nassau County police officers and , and ATF Officer . Family members of the late Michael Califano and John Capano were in attendance.

"It's just nice to see after all the months that have past, to see my husband still remembered and honored and to know that he's not going to be forgotten ... that so much is being done for him," said Jacqueline Califano

Singer and songwriter Range was also on hand to debut his new song "Lay it down" that he wrote for the organization. "It's about the police officers and solders that put their life on the line everyday to keep us free and keep us happy," said Range.

Actor Mark Feuerstein, best known for his role in the USA show "Royal Pains" which also films at Oheka Castle, was on hand to Emcee the event. "I don't think we can convey our appreciation for the families of those who risked and gave their lives for our safety and our protection enough," said Feuerstein.
