Fire Crews Free Trapped Accident Victim

Flipped car on Woodbury Road traps victim inside; victim escaped the accident.

Fire crews freed a victim trapped inside a car after an accident Friday evening.

According to fire officials, Syosset Fire Department and Nassau County Police were called to the scene at about 5:14 p.m. Friday in Woodbury. A car had reportedly flipped after an accident, trapping a victim inside.

Crews used the Jaws of Life and hydraulic cutters to remove the roof of the car and free the victim, who was quickly transported to the hospital.
