Fire Department to Host Annual Fire Prevention Day
The open house will take place Oct. 9 at department headquarters.
The will conduct its annual Fire Prevention Open House on Sunday, Oct. 9 from 12 p.m. until 4p.m. at department headquarters, 50 Cold Spring Road in Syosset. Scheduled activities include the following:
- Actual home fire drills, using rooms filled with simulated smoke.
- Hands on fire extinguisher training, using a state of the art training device.
- Real firefighting and rescue demonstrations.
- Rides for children and adults on our fire trucks.
- Various free prizes will be given. They include a bicycle for both boys and girls.
Free hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks will be provided to all. Please visit the Fire Department Headquarters on Sunday, Oct. 9.
