An early morning blaze destroyed a car in the Birchwood section of Syosset Friday morning.
responded to 59 Forest Drive at around 2 a.m. Friday and found a white 2009 Acura TSX parked in the street with flames coming from the passenger side hood.
No one was injured in the blaze. Syosset Fire Chief Robert Kaplan said the fire was not deemed suspicious.
The cause of the fire is assumed to be electrical, said Emily Finz, sister of the car's owner.
