Nassau police officer hospitalized after car flips on LIE ramp.

A Nassau County policeman was hospitalized Monday night when his patrol car flipped over on a Long Island Expressway ramp.

At about 8:50 p.m. Monday, a second precinct officer was at an entrance ramp off South Oyster Bay Road in Syosset when his patrol car rolled over, reported Newsday.

"The Second Precinct officer was taken to a hospital by police ambulance for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries," said the report.

A cause of the accident has yet to be reported by police.
