Huntington Man Struck, Killed at Syosset LIRR

Man was crossing tracks when he was struck early Tuesday morning, say police.

A Huntington man was struck and killed by a train early Tuesday morning at the Syosset LIRR station, MTA police said. 

The MTA said Wednesday that the man was trying to cross from one platform to the other when he was struck and killed by an eastbound train around 12:45 a.m. 

About 50 passengers were onboard the train when the man was struck. No residual delays have been reported.

A woman was struck and killed at the Syosset LIRR station just one month ago. A number of other fatalities have also occurred at the station over the past year.
