Three local men are accused of using an old key to break-in to Briarcliffe College in Bethpage and steal money from the cafeteria's cash register.

Nassau County detectives said the incident took place just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday when Richard Marinaro, 27, a former employee of Briarcliffe College on Stewart Avenue used a key he had retained and entered the school with two other men.

Marinaro  of 50 Cedar Ave., Bethpage, along with Jason Geyer, 29, of 404 Dawson Lane, Jericho and David Maroshick, 23, of 4 Marion St., Hicksville, went through the empty corridors to the cafeteria. The trio removed an undisclosed amount of money from the school’s cafeteria cash register and fled, police said.

The group's actions were captured by the school’s video surveillance system.

On Wednesday, Marinaro, Geyer and Maroshick were located by Nassau County Police and placed under arrest without incident.

The three were charged with burglary and were arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on Thursday.
