Man allegedly broke into storage containers at the end of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in Syosset.

A Farmingdale man went to court Wednesday.

Witnesses reported seeing Kevin DeTurris, 39 of Farmingdale, walking east on Jericho Turnpike just after midnight July 16. DeTurris reportedly continued down the expressway ramp toward equipment trucks and storage containers that were parked at the end of the expressway by Welsbach Electric of Long Island.

Officers arrested DeTurris after witnessing him remove a power saw from his backpack and attempt to break into one of the containers, police said.
