Man Arrested for Grand Larceny in Woodbury

The man presented a forged a check at a bank in Elmont in December, and surrendered himself to police Sunday.

A man that presented a forged check at a Capital One Bank in Elmont surrendered to police in Woodbury Sunday, according to police.  

Police said that Kadeem Johnson, 18, of Queens, presented the forged check to the Capital One Bank at 620 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont back on Dec. 9. Johnson surrendered himself Sunday at the Second Precinct in Woodbury. 

Johnson is charged with Grand Larceny in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree and Falsifying Business Records in the first degree.

He will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
