Man Robbed at Gunpoint Outside Syosset McDonald's

Nassau County police said the victim had agreed to meet the man to complete the sale of three pairs of Nike Air Jordan sneakers he had advertised online.

A Massapequa man has been arrested after he allegedly held up a teenager outside a McDonald's on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.

Nassau County police said the victim had agreed to meet the man at the fast-food store's parking lot to complete the sale of three pairs of Nike Air Jordan sneakers he had advertised online.

Police said Joseph Alessi, 23, pulled out a black handgun and took off with the sneakers, which had a combined worth of $880. 

No injuries were reported.

Alessi is being charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm. He is being arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
