One Seriously Injured In DUI Accident

Two-car accident off of Woodbury Road and Froehlich Farm Blvd. sent one to hospital Friday evening.

Nassau County Police and the responded to a two-car accident on Woodbury Road at around 6 p.m. Friday, an accident which sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the other car behind bars under the suspicion of DUI.  

The two cars collided at the intersection of Froehlich Farm Blvd. and Woodbury Road at around 6 p.m. Friday.  One of the cars involved left the roadway and struck a tree, seriously injuring the driver who was transported to a local hospital, according to firefighters at the scene.  

Police said they responded to the scene shortly after and arrested the other driver involved under the suspicion of DUI, though it was unclear at the time of the accident if the person failed a sobriety test.
