Syosset students pause in somber remembrance of a fallen friend.
Friends of Syosset High School senior John Lee gathered Tuesday night in a vigil near the Syosset LIRR tracks.
Quiet crying, the occasional passing car, and a single train were all that broke the silence as one by one, friends of Lee lit candles and placed cards where he took his last steps. Lee died after he was struck by a train traveling at full speed late Monday night.
