On Tuesday night the Syosset Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department responded to calls about a vacant house at 614 Woodbury Rd.
When units arrived at the home, which was under renovation, they found a fire in the kitchen. It was quickly extinguished and did not extend to any other rooms. No injuries were reported and the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
