Police Blotter: Cars Vandalized and Forgery Arrest

Syosset Patch reports recent local crimes for the past week.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Second Precinct weekly crime and arrest reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

  • On Feb. 16, copper plates were stolen from a Metro PCS store in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 21, personal papers and gift cards were stolen from a vehicle on Cold Spring Road in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 18, Jewerly, a laptop and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from an Odell Court home in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 19, jewerly was stolen from a home on Preston Lane in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 19, a car window was damaged with a B.B. gun on Southwoods Circle in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 20, Kadeem Thompson, 18, of 129th Ave., Queens, when he allegedly presented a forged check at the Capitol One Bank in Elmont. Thompson was charged with multiple crimes including Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree. 
  • On Feb. 19, car windows were damaged on Melanie Lane in Syosset. 
  • On Feb. 21, a car mirror was damaged on Victor Lane in Woodbury.
