Police Blotter: Grand Larceny, Stolen Engagement Rings
A rundown of recent police activity in the area.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Second Precinct of the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Crimes
- On June 18, two engagement rings were stolen from the Mayfair Jewelers store in Woodbury.
- On June 17, an IPad was stolen from an auto on Anchorage Drive in Woodbury.
- On June 19 and June 20, three vehicles were damaged and one had its windows smashed on Barry Lane in Syosset.
Arrests

- On June 19, Jose Argueta, 32, was arrested and charged with DWI on the LIE in Plainview.
- On June 20, Manuel Caguana, 30, was arrested and charged with DWI on the LIE in Syosset.
- On June 20, Charles Temple, 42, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny on Gordon Drive in Syosset.
