Police: Man Tried to Sell Fake LSD to Cops in Syosset

Craigslist ad for LSD prompts undercover arrest.

A Levittown man was arrested Thursday afternoon after attempting to sell fake LSD to an undercover Nassau County detective in Syosset.

According to detectives, 24-year-old Adam Friedman placed an ad on Craigslist advertising LSD for sale.

The ad prompted a response from an undercover detective. Police said that after communicating with Friedman via email, detectives made arrangements to meet him to buy 10 LSD strips.

Detectives met with Friedman on Greenfield Road and Locust Lane in Syosset where Friedman was placed under arrest. He was found to be in possession of 10 pieces of imitation LSD.   

Friedman is being charged with imitation controlled substance - manufacture/sell.  He was released on a desk appearance ticket returnable to First District Court on July 5.
