Nassau County Police reported last week. After a long absence of burglary reports, police reported a total of six burglaries, including three in Hicksville and one each in Syosset, Plainview, and Bayville.
Three burglaries, reported in Syosset, Plainview, and Hicksville, all occurred during the Easter and Passover breaks from school when many families went on vacation. The Syosset burglary was the only one of those three that reported anything stolen.
The other three burglaries occurred on or just before the weekend.
The suspects in these crimes may have just been taking advantage of the empty homes vacationers left behind. However, .
