Robbers Bring Flowers to Ransack House

No injuries were suffered in home invasion.

The Second Squad of the Nassau County Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Feb. 12 at 3:45 PM in Syosset. At that time, according to detectives, the live-in maid for a home located on Tower Court opened the front door of that location to an unknown male, who displayed a bouquet of flowers and stated he had a delivery for the residents. Leaving the front door open, the maid proceeded upstairs to alert the homeowners’ 17-year-old daughter, the sole occupant of the home at the time. Subsequently, the unknown man, now armed with a handgun, proceeded upstairs with additional two additional subjects, who proceeded to ransack the house. A short time later, the homeowners returned to the residence and observed a black, four-door vehicle parked in the driveway, with a fourth man occupying its driver’s seat. As the male homeowner approached the vehicle to confront its driver, one of the two men who followed the initial subject exited the house displaying a second handgun, threatening the homeowner with it. All four subjects then fled in the black 4-door vehicle, in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported and loss to the homeowners was undetermined. The subjects are described only as Asian males, 18-21 years of age. Anyone with additional information about this robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
