Rush Hour Collision Sends Two to Hospital

The two-car accident in Syosset Thursday occured outside New York College on Jericho Turnpike.

A mini-van leaving the south side of a parking lot at New York College on 6801 Jericho Turnpike collided side-on with a SUV traveling westbound, sending both drivers to the hospital Thursday during rush hour. 

The accident, which occured around 5 p.m., caused extensive damage to both vehicles. Nassau County Police and Syosset Fire Departments responded to the scene, removing both drivers from the vehicles and sending them to the hospital. No passengers were in either car. 

According to Syosset Fire Chief John Capobianco, the two drivers were transported to Syosset Hospital with minor injuries.
