Police say a verbal argument escalated until suspect punched victim.

Editor’s Note: The following information was supplied by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

• Francisco Lopez, 47, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Nov. 27 and charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. According to the arrest report, a woman reported that while at Golden Pear Cafe that morning, Lopez walked in and they had an argument about a prior incident. The argument escalated to yelling, and then Lopez punched the victim in her face, knocking her to the ground, the arrest report states. A witness who helped the victim to her feet called police, according to the report, and Lopez was arrested, processed and released on $100 bail with a Dec. 11 appearance date at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court.

there is no such thing as morally illegal. and yes, because someone is illegal, by definition they are a criminal. did you take any courses in logic or deductive reasoning?

"they actually have more rights than we do" how the hell do you figure that?
John Gruber December 12, 2012 at 07:37 PM
Very true about the native americans but the difference with our families is though, they came here LEGALLY through the system and were DOCUMENTED. Ellis Island is proof of that

Legally then was getting on a boat coming here and a official at the dock here saying welcome whats your name? Here are your pappers. Good luck. Let them come, tax them in a higher bracket while giving them a path to become citizens and slam those who pay under the table. Finical cliff issue solved.
