A Freeport man was sentenced Friday for molesting a 20-year-old man in a Syosset warehouse in 2013.

Alfred Balcerak, 55, had pleaded guilty in January to first-degree attempted sexual abuse, according to the Nassau County District Attorney’s office. Prosecutors said that on May 21, 2013, Balcerak molested the 20-year-old by pulling his pants down and fondling his genitals. The incident occurred in the Syosset warehouse for Dun Rite Upholstery, a business Balcerak owned in East Norwich. Balcerak was arrested by the Nassau County Police Department on May 28, 2013.

On Friday,  Balcerak was sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison and three years of post-release supervision, the Nassau DA’s office said. Balcerak will also have to register as a sex offender.
