Incumbent Syosset Fire District Commissioner Robert Swanson was reelected in Tuesday's elections. He ran unopposed.

Swanson has been a member of the Syosset Fire Department for nearly 50 years. He became a Fire District commissioner in 2011 when a seat was left vacant by a retiring commissioner and will begin his first five-year term in January. 

Turnout for this year's Syosset Fire District elections was a paltry 117, according to Syosset Fire District Secretary Louise Intindoli.
