Vandalism Strikes Syosset

Is this a growing problem or are recent attacks a fluke?

Vandals spray painted the large digital clock outside over the weekend. More graffiti was reported across the street at , possibly by the same vandals.

"I'm very disheartened," reacted , whose removed graffiti around the . Coschignano said he has been fighting graffiti since the 1990s before he was a councilman.

"The only way to combat graffiti is to stay on top of it," said Coschignano, who said he will continue to fight it.

Is graffiti a growing problem in Syosset and Woodbury? Were last weekend's attacks a fluke or were they part of a growing problem in the community? What can be done to combat vandalism in town?

someone spray painted a white vinyl fence on Avon Court in Syosset last week.....it's happening a lot more...

Somebody spray painted a van outside my office over the Memorial Day weekend .. Its pathetic kids who have nothing to do and parents who have extremely poor parenting skills. Who's to blame for poor social skills? Texting, Facebook, Technology?
