TV, Headphones Stolen from Target; Syosset Car Break-Ins

Incidents reported by the Nassau County Police Second Precinct, Dec. 6-15.

A 40 inch TV and four sets of headphones were stolen from Target in Hicksville on Dec. 8, according to police. 

The theft was one of nine grand larcenies occurring in the second precinct over the past week and a half. Others included:

  • An IBM ThinkPad stolen from a car on Katherine Street in Locust Valley
  • Cash stolen from a home on Pine Drive in Oyster Bay
  • Unauthorized charges made on a stolen credit card belonging to someone in Lattingtown
  • Two catalytic convertors stolen from Michel Auto Care in South Farmingdale
  • Fraudulent activity on Sunny Hill Drive in East Norwich
  • A laptop stolen from a car on Narcissus Drive in Syosset
  • A Coach pocketbook, a wallet and a passport stolen from a car on Renee Road in Syosset
  • Two-way radios and a Kindle Fire stolen from a car on Lockwood Avenue in South Farmingdale
  • Catalytic convertors stolen from a car on Shames Drive in Westbury
Four burglaries also occurred over the past week:
  • The front door of a Citgo gas station in Hicksville was pried open, though nothing was taken
  • Cash was stolen from the register of House of Spices in Hicksville
  • The rear door of Morgan Gentry's in Oyster Bay was pried open and cash taken from the register
  • A Samsung Galaxy, PS3, PS4 and sweatpants were taken from Dover Lane in South Farmingdale
A 2013 Nissan was also stolen from Drury Lane in Syosset on Dec. 10.
