A two-vehicle accident Wednesday around 4:15 p.m. on the intersection of S. Oyster Bay Road and Hicks Avenue closed off the street and caused some headaches for commuters as the accident was cleared.
There were no apparent injuries in the accident and police at the scene declined to comment. A black SUV involved in the wreck was lifted onto a tow truck and driven off shortly after 4:20 p.m. while the second vehicle remained off the side of the road. Traffic was cleared up shortly after.
