Two Injured Sunday at Oyster Festival

Man and woman sustain minor injuries in two separate incidents in Oyster Bay.

Two people were injured in separate incidents Sunday at the Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay. A water fire boat water cannon struck a woman in the head and a food stand worker sustained facial propane burns, reported Newsday.

A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after he was burned in the face as he lit propane at a food stand, said the report. He was transported to the hospital at about 11 a.m. for minor injuries, said Newsday.

Later, a 48-year-old woman was struck in the head by a water cannon at about 12:50 p.m., said the report. She reportedly refused medical attention..
