Woman Hospitalized in Syosset Home Invasion

Police are seeking 2 men in Shady Lane break-in.

Police are searching for two masked men who entered a Syosset home through a locked back door Saturday night and attacked a woman.

According to detectives, a 49-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were watching television in their home on Shady Lane in Syosset around 9:30 p.m. when the teenager heard a noise coming from the back of the house. They both went to investigate and were confronted by the two men.

One, armed with a crowbar, grabbed the woman pushed her to the floor and kicked her, while the teen ran out of the house, police said. She was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries, while the teenager was unharmed.

Police describe the first man as white, 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, and wearing black clothes. The second man was  6-foot, 195 pounds, wearing all black and armed with a black handgun. Police said the men fled, possibly in a silver/gray SUV. Nothing was taken, police said.
