Nassau County Detectives have charged a Dix Hills man with the failed bank robbery in October of the Chase Bank on Woodbury Road.

Following an investigation, Robbery Squad detectives arrested James Sullivan, 22, of 81 Old Brook, Dix Hills, on Tuesday and charged him in connection with the Oct. 18th attempted heist at the Chase branch in the Plainview Centre.

Nassau County Police on the scene confirmed that four Eastbound vehicles were involved in what they described as a chain-reaction of crashes, and that one of the vehicles, a maroon mini-van, caught fire as a result.
