Action Long Island to Host State Comptroller

Public event is from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodbury.

New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli will be the guest speaker of Thursday at an economic symposium in Woodbury.

DiNapoli will discuss business and economic development opportunities at the public form scheduled for noon at the in Woodbury.

Hosted by Action Long Island, a Long Island business organization devoted to driving local economic initiatives, the symposium will focus on funding opportunities for Long Island businesses through the state's In-State Private Equity Program.

Besides DiNapoli, guest speakers include Sleepys CFO, Joe Graci, Hamilton Lane, Private Equity Management Executive, David Helgerson and ALI Board Chairman Sheldon Sackstein. Numerous elected officials, business owners and community leaders are expected to attend.

Plainview's , ALI Executive Director, said he expects this meeting to continue fueling ALI’s Long Island Economic Initiative by providing additional options for local companies.

“The LI business community is poised to shake the economic doldrums plaguing our region, and forward-thinking business leaders are hungry for source funding to expand and increase market share,” Cepeda said.

The public is invited to attend the event, which runs from noon until 2 p.m.
