Annual Polar Bear Plunge This Sunday

Big event to benefit United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.

The Town of Oyster Bay and the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. will hold its 9th Annual Polar Bear “Break the Ice Swim” benefit fundraiser Sunday.

The event is set for Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park, Beach and Marina in Oyster Bay and kicks off at 1 p.m. with the polar bears taking the plunge at 2.

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto has served as an Honorary Co-Chairman for the event since its inception. The program features brave souls taking the plunge into Oyster Bay Harbor to raise money for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau and its many programs and services.

Everyone is invite to participate. The day’s proceedings will benefit the more than 1,800 children and adults with disabilities who participate in programs and receive services through UCPN.
