Author Hopes E-Review Site Propels Career

David Billingham, of Hampton Bays, has released his first teen novel manuscript which he hopes will be picked up by a publishing house. 

To help his chances, Billingham, a father of three, says he has posted the first nine chapters of his book, called "The Life Inside Maggie Pincus," on authonomy.com, a website that allows aspiring authors to show off their work and obtain reviews.

Study Aims to Bring New Sewers to Deer Park, North Babylon

A study that began in 2009 continues to work out results as the plan to bring a new sewer system to Deer Park, North Babylon and West Babylon will begin to move into the next phases in coming months. The study aims to eventually bring a new sewage system to the local area that helps reduce harm being done to the environment from septic tanks and cesspools.
