visited the Syosset Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting at 516 Americana Kitchen & Bar Thursday.
"It is always wonderful to be with the Chamber," said Jacobs. "We had a lively discussion about Syosset, the road network, the railroad, the stores and all other matters which those present brought up."
The Syosset business district has seen many changes in the past year alone. With the completion of the long-running Jackson Avenue Improvement Project, merchants felt a sense of revival in the downtown area. The business district has also said goodbye to several businesses, like Rite Aid and Borders, and made way for new stores, like DSW. Most recently, DeBeneditti's Florist and Nursery announced they would be selling their property.
