Jacobs Thrilled by Suozzi Exec Candidacy

Judy Jacobs praises Suozzi's innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and experience.

News that Tom Suozzi will enter the race for Nassau County Executive has thrilled area democrats, including Nassau Legislator Judy Jacobs.

"I cannot for the life of me think of a more qualified person than someone who already took this county from close to bankruptcy to getting 13 bond upgrades," said Jacobs, D-Woodbury.

Jacobs said Wednesday she feels confident in Suozzi's ability to revive Nassau County because he has already done so.

"The challenges he would face this time are not unlike what he faced when he came in last time," she said, referencing the challenging economic situation currently facing the county.

Suozzi served as County Executive from 2002-2010.

"[The county] is not quite as down as we were when he was elected, but it's certainly lower than when he left," said Jacobs, referencing three consecutive bond downgrades in Nassau County.

"His innovation and out of the box thinking will be the only thing to get us back on track."

"He's experienced, he's knowledgable, he's an excellent person and I'm really pleased he will represent us on the Democratic ticket," said Jacobs.

Roslyn School Board member Adam Haber also announced his candidacy in January on the Democratic ticket.

It begins with an analysis of the situation (structure, background, or setting), in which the information of when, where, and who is identified. The information may help set up seasonal differences in restricting hours of leaf blower operation. Further thinking will lead critical thinkers to note the implication of the new ordinance to the business of licensed landscapers. Also, critical thinkers may think about the development of a soundproof leaf blowing machine.
