Jericho Water District to Pitch Improvements to Town

System was stretched to the limit in July.

Proposed improvements to the Jericho Water District will be discussed at the Sept. 28 meeting of the Oyster Bay Town Board.

The system was stretched to its limits during an usually hot July, leaving some customers with low water pressure. A Syosset Patch story and commentary chronicled the issue.

The commissioners of the Jericho Bay Water District are requesting the Town Board to consider various water system improvements, including pumping capacity, volatile organic compound treatment facilities, storage tank improvements or replacement, and control system improvements.

Following the regular Town business, the Town Board will be available to listen to public comment on any matter.
