Legis. Jacobs to Host Able-Ride Hearing
The cutoff date for service is currently May 27.
Nassau County Legis. Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) will host a hearing concerning the upcoming Able-Ride cuts on May 19 from 3-6 p.m. at the Nassau University Medical Center Auditorium, located at 2201 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow.
"The MTA would not convene [a hearing] and the cutoff date is the 27th with the next court date being the 28th," Jacobs said of the legal wrangling. "Time is of the essence."
In an April 28 op-ed in Syosset Patch, Jacobs detailed specific Syosset residents who will be affected by the cuts.
