The travel lanes will be closed and/or shifted between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. in both directions throughout the night to accommodate the progress of the construction operations, state officials said.
A minimum of one travel lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
The closures are needed to resurface the deteriorated pavement of NY Route 106/107 over the LIE, the portion of North Broadway straddling the Hicksville and Jericho line.
The top layer of worn, distressed asphalt will be
removed, repairs will be made and new asphalt and pavement markings
will be provided.
Motorists are being warned in advance of the closings via electronic road signs but should plan ahead and use alternate routes or they will be delayed. For real-time travel information motorists should call 511 or visit www.511NY.org, New York State’s traffic and travel information source.
