No. 57: Hop Over to Syosset-Woodbury Community Park's First Spring Fest

An "eggcellent" time to be had at the Syosset-Woodbury Park "Eggstravaganza."

For this month's , we are going to "chick out" this Saturday from 1pm until 4pm to enjoy a Spring Festival hosted by the Town of Oyster Bay.

Last year's first annual event was held on the South Shore, but this year TOBAY has generously decided to hold it at both parks. So if you can't make it to our local park, try attending on April 21 by heading to Marjorie R. Post Community Park, located by Unqua and Merrick Roads in Massapequa for continued festival fun during the same time frame.

This free event will feature lots of activities for the whole family such as a petting zoo, crafts, plant your own sunflower seed project, bouncers, games, prizes, popcorn, cider and more. After you pet some lambs, rabbits, and other fluffy farm animals, try out some cute season-specific lawn games. From there, decorate a pot, plant a sunflower seed in your custom container, water it and watch it grow.

Spring Festival "Eggstravaganza" is being sponsored by the , Cultural and Performing Arts Division (CAPA). For more information, call 516-797-7925 or visit the Town of Oyster Bay website.

Come rain or shine.

For instance, critical thinking is not about finding fault with people who make noise by using leafRead More blowers, but about an in-depth thinking of goals and values we will achieve by limiting their use. People could earn more quality life and peace of mind by having quiet time in the early morning and the late evening. The value of mental peace is regarded crucial in our life. Critical thinking gives us a process of thinking to get into the depth of the problem. It begins with an analysis of the situation (structure, background, or setting), in which the information of when, where, and who is identified. The information may help set up seasonal differences in restricting hours of leaf blower operation. Further thinking will lead critical thinkers to note the implication of the new ordinance to the business of licensed landscapers. Also, critical thinkers may think about the development of a soundproof leaf blowing machine. Critical thinking helps us to increase and share our common values, rather than tries to find faults with people who make problems.
