Presidents Day: What's Open in Syosset

Federal holiday means schools, government offices are closed.

Monday is Presidents Day, a federal holiday that impacts government institutions.

Today's holiday means all federal, state and local government offices are closed. Parks and recreation centers are open, however.

There is no postal delivery, except for Express Mail, and post offices are closed today.

Most banks and the major financial markets, including the New York Stock Exchange, are closed. TD Bank announced it's branches would be open.

All Syosset schools are closed; classes resume Tuesday.

Most retail businesses and restaurants are open as usual, and many businesses offer specials. There's lots to do if you have the day off. Check out our events listings for a complete rundown.
