Public Hearing Set on Plainview Panera

Town proposes lifting restrictive covenants governing indoor playground that is no longer in existence.

A public hearing will be held on Jan. 21 to modify existing restrictive covenants on the property of Panera, 1082 Old Country Road, Plainview.

The intent is to lift the restrictive covenants covering an indoor playground, once part of the former Burger King on the property, that is no longer in existence. The restrictive covenants previously stated that no children are allowed on the playground without adults and no video games are allowed in the playground.

The Plainview Panera Bread opened as the first drive-thru café on Long Island oon Nov. 18, 2013.
